SUMMARY: It's the Summer of '77 when a 16 year old Fox Mulder meets the Love of his life. Part One of the Summer Love Universe Special Thanks to Tigra12 for her lessons in Somalian and Swahili ********************************************************* ********************* Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight Lead me out on the moonlit floor Lift your open hand, strike up the band and Make the fireflies dance; silver moon's sparkling So kiss me Kiss me by Sixpence None the Richer ********************************************************* ********************* It was the summer of 77, it was hot, it was perfect weather to make a little money, Fox Mulder thought as he grabbed his lawnmower and went door to door looking for lawns to cut. Most people had there own lawn guys, but a lot of new families had moved in recently, he was hoping to make some money off them. 3 houses down Fox knocked on the door and waited. "I got it honey, sit and relax. Yes?" A honey sweet voice said "Hi, my name is Fox Mulder, I live down the street and I was wondering if you would like your grass cut?" "Well sure sweetie, my husband has a heart condition, that would be a big help." She said, coming fully into the door and taking his breath away. Tall, brunette, long legs, perfect smile, big blue eyes, gorgeous figure clad only in a bikini. Fox felt an embarrassing hard on forming and tried desperately to hide it. "Lara, Lara Parker." "Hello Mrs. Parker." Mrs. Parker regarded the lanky boy in front of her. Shaggy brown hair that curled around his ears. Strong jaw and nose, softened by mystical hazel eyes and a full pouty mouth. "My you are a cutie, aren't you? Do you just cut grass or do you do other things?" His head swam at the unintentional double entendre. She clarified "I'm sure my David can find more stuff for you to do." "Yes ma'am, that would be fine." "Fine, how much?" "Um 20 bucks." "A week?" "Every 2." "40 a month, not bad. More expensive than the other little boy that came by but, you look a lot sturdier than he did. You can come by tomorrow and get started." Next morning "Danes, here's the wrench, see if you can get the bolt off for me." "Sure thing Uncle Dave." A husky voice said from under the beautiful SS convertible. "Hello sir." Fox said, softly as he approached the car. "Hi?" A large man with brown hair said peeking around the hood curiously "Oh Hi! You must be Fox, after you finish the grass, I want to show you what else I want you to do." "Ok sir." "You got a deep voice, scared me to death. How old are you boy?" "16 sir." "Really? Tall too, what are you about 6 foot?" "6'1 sir." "Way too polite, well go ahead and get started. Danes come from under the car before the grass gets in your eyes. You got that bolt off?" "Yep, Lift the car more." A red head said as her hair appeared from under the car. Fox started up the mower and started cutting the grass. "Done Mr. Parker" Fox said an hour later "Really? That's fast. Fox, Mulder?" "Yes sir." "Fox Mulder, this is my niece Dana Scully. She's visiting for the summer and hopefully I can convince her to stay with us till she's out of high school." "Maybe, I like the area. Nice to meet you Fox." "Dana just turned 15, but she'll be a senior next year. Smart as a whip." Dana rolled her eyes at the flattery. Fox smiled at the petite redheaded tomboy before him. Her long red hair tied in a neat ponytail, her white tanktop covered with oil and engine grease, tight in all the right places. Jeez, curves must run in the family, Fox thought as he shook her hand. "What are you doing?" he asked, as Mr. Parker went to get some stuff out of the garage. "Reworking Uncle Dave's engine. I have a theory that if the pistons were lighter and had more lube, it would use less fuel, have more pick up." Fox kablinked. Wow she is smart! Smart and beautiful, deadly combination. Fox felt himself staring at her, mentally undressing her and shook his head trying to clear the images away. She smiled and went back to work, throwing him a quick look to see if he was still watching her, which he was. "Fox, come with me, here's your next project." Painting the shed and the garage, no biggie, Fox thought as he put the primer coat on. "Hey Fox." Oh boy, he thought as he turned to see Dana and Mrs. Parker walking past in bikinis heading for the beach. "How's it going?" "Great." Fox said, practically drooling. Fox watched them continue walking by and sighed. Mr. Parker's a lucky man. "Something wrong Fox?" "Huh?" Fox said snapping back to reality, seeing Mr. Parker at his side. "Ah no, no sir." "She looks good in a bikini huh?" "Yes Sir!" Fox said enthusiastically, quickly trying to correct himself. "I mean . .. um . . ." Mr. Parker laughed "It's okay son, I know what you mean. I tell you Dana would be quite a catch if she found guy who could keep up with her. I hear your planning on going to Harvard? Then Oxford?" "Yes sir." Mr. Parker smiled, nodding approvingly as he pulled up a lawn chair "Keep going sorry for the distractions." Eight weeks and I have such a crush on Dana Scully I almost died happy when she said my name. "Hey Fox." "Hi Dana. How are you?" "Fine, what's he got you doing now?" "Stripping and staining the deck, then water proofing." "Ugh, what a way to spend your summer." "At least I'm getting paid for it." "Well if you put it that way, then it may not be too bad. Have fun." Fox took a deep breath, come on stupid ask her. "Dana?" She turned quickly, smiling at him "Yes?" "If your not busy tonight . . . um would you like to go to a . . . um movie with me?" "I'd love to." Yes, he mentally celebrated "But I'm going to a sleepover tonight." "Oh well maybe another time." Dag nabbit! He thought "Definitely, we fellow brains must stick together. Maybe tomorrow night. Dinner and a movie?" "Uh well ok." ALLLLLRRRRIIIGGHHTT!!! he screamed mentally "Ok then." "Ok well um . . Ok." He stuttered gazing at her. Dana smiled, giggling slightly. You really shouldn't torture him like this, it's so obvious he has a crush on you, she thought as she said "Bye Fox." Fox practically melted on the spot. I have a date with her, I have a date with her tomorrow night! When he was finally able to move again, he went back to work, smiling happily to himself. Two days later 2 p.m. Dana headed to the beach and looked over at Fox as he worked on the deck. Sweat beading his handsome face, curling his hair up. He stopped sanding and took off his sweat soaked tank top to reveal a well muscled torso. Wow! Smart and beautiful, totally sexy! Dana thought as she locked eyes with him, he smiled that perfect smile and she waved at him. If he follows me, I have him hooked she thought as she looked back to see him following her. Oh boy, he's mine. She laid her towel down on the beach and took a flying leap into the ocean. He followed quickly, diving into the water and coming up, shaking the water out of his eyes. "Hey." "Hi." He said quietly "Taking a break?" "Yeah, no chaperone?" Their date had been perfect, it would have been even more perfect if Mrs. Parker hadn't insisted on coming along. I would have at least been able to kiss her somewhere other than the cheek, he thought as she responded "They're busy." "Oh really?" He said moving closer to her. She felt his arms wrap around her waist and broke free, walking back on the beach. Fox followed, enough cat and mouse he thought, it's time for me to get a little more aggressive. She watched him walk over to her, his cut off jeans clinging to him in all the right places, water dripping off his muscles. He sat next to her and leaned into her slightly. She turned to face him, there eyes met and she smiled as he leaned in for a kiss. His lips captured hers hungrily and he slanted his mouth over hers, attacking it with his tongue, steadying her with a strong hand at her neck. She gently massaged his raging hard on through his wet jeans and he groaned softly. "I don't remember the deck being over here Fox." A deep voice said. They broke apart quickly. Fox looked up into the amused eyes of Mr. Parker. "Sorry sir, um sorry I was . . . sorry." Fox said, rising and heading back to the deck quickly. "Uncle David." Dana said with a reproachful tone in her voice. "I know, I just love watching him squirm. He's got it bad for you Danes." "I know he does." Dana said looking towards the deck to see him watching her. 4 weeks later Beach 11 p.m. Dana sat on the beach as the warm summer air swirled around her. Last night here, then back to Utah. She smelt him before she saw him, his distinct sweet and spicy smell. He was in her favorite pair of cut off jeans, his hair tousled by the wind. "Hey." "Hey." He sat down close to her and smiled "Your last night in town huh?" "Yeah." "I'm going to miss you." "Yeah right." she said sarcastically. "No I am. I've fallen in love with you Dana." "Your just horny." "That too." Dana laughed and looked at him. His eyes told her the truth, he really was in love with her. He moved in and kissed her hungrily on the lips, his hands exploring her wildly. He rubbed against her and groaned loudly. Dana let her fingers trace up his shirtless torso as his neared her bikini top "I love you Dana, I love you so much. Please let me . . . I want you." He whispered as he kissed her everywhere, his hands slipping off her bikini top and cupping her breasts lightly. Dana moaned softly, whimpering when he took a nipple into his mouth and started to tease it with his tongue. His other hand quickly undoing her shorts and pushing them down. Hers did the same, she smiled when she didn't feel any underwear and she pulled his lips back to hers. "Dana please." He begged as she pulled away from his lips to kiss his neck. "Not without a condom." "Already on." She brushed her hand past his straining erection to find it coated in rubber "Please" he asked quietly and she nodded. He moved forward, entering her quickly, sighing heavily from relief. "God, you feel good" "God, your big." They said simultaneously. Fox laughed slightly as he ravaged her mouth with his as he started to thrust into her. "Perfect. This is perfect, I love you Dana, I love you." "David, where's Dana?" "On the beach." "I'm going to take her a blanket, I'll be back." Lara said, grabbing a blanket and heading out to the beach. She saw a head over the hill and smiled heading to it, stopping a few feet away and blushing wildly. Fox was pumping into Dana slowly, devouring her mouth with his, groaning slightly into her mouth. Dana's hands in his hair, scratching his back. Lara smiled, poor things, they need some privacy, she thought as she laid the blanket next to them and started back to the house when she heard Fox scream "Oh Dana I love you." as he came hard. Lara blushed, my goodness! She thought as she quickened her pace. Fox pulled away from Dana and gave her a shy smile. She smiled back, smoothing his hair out of his face as he pulled up his shorts. "I mean it Dana, I love you." "I know, but don't make any promises Fox please. I'll only be disappointed if you don't keep them." "But . . ." "One day when were older we'll meet again and if it was meant to be, we'll be together." Dana said, caressing his face with her fingers, letting them caress his lips in a promise. He nodded and kissed her fingertips. They stood up and dusted themselves off. He held her hand gently in his and walked her back to the house. He kissed her again, a sweet gentle kiss, full of promises and watched her go into the house and out of his life. He lingered a while, then headed back home along the beach. He brushed tears from his eyes as he walked away, sobs catching in his throat. Summer Love: Revisited by Mulderslady Part 2 of 5 DISCLAIMER: They don't belong to me, wish they did. Dana Scully said, tucking an errant strand of her fiery hair behind her ear. "Your making big bucks now Dana, you need to know how to use and invest them. This speaker is one of the best, he's like a billionaire, three or four times over and he's not even like 30 yet." Her anesthesiologist Greg pleaded with her "Fine at least the hospital pays, and I get put up in a 5 star hotel." Chicago, two days later "The finance seminar?" Dana asked a hotel clerk "Conference room one." "Thank you." She said as she went into the conference room and saw HIM. He's filled out nicely, she thought. Broad shoulders, same shaggy, slightly wavy hair, curling around his ears, same beautiful gravelly voice. I never thought he'd be a billionaire. Fox scanned over the crowd and saw HER. Oh my god, it can't be, he thought as he gazed at her, still talking. Still the same beautiful face and shape. I wonder what she does. He looked down at his roster, yep Dana Scully cardiologist. I always knew she'd be a doctor. He smiled at her and asked for audience questions. Lunch Break They made a beeline for each other and smiled "Dana hi." "Hey Fox, Oh wow, I never thought you'd turn out like this. I always thought of you as the college professor type." "So did I. I always knew you'd be a doctor, I missed you." "Mr. Mulder, could you . . ." a seminar attendee started "Hold on one second. Here call me later we can catch up ok?" He said handing her his card, there fingers brushing briefly "Sounds good." Dinner "That was really interesting. I never knew you could do all that stuff with your money." "Yep, there a lot of stuff you can do to increase your holdings that many people don't know about." "So do you give lecture tours often?" "No, maybe a couple a year. I kinda think they're boring." Scully smiled "So what do you do all day?" "I hang on Wall street, watch my stocks and my other commodities, very exciting." "So you live in New York?" Stupid question Dana. He's got a definite New York accent and you have to ask if he lives in New York, she thought as he responded. "Yeah Manhattan. What about you?" "I'm a cardiologist in Hartford, Connecticut. I have a private/associate practice up there." "Private/associate?" "I have my own practice, but a few weekends and nights I'm on call with our associate hospital." "Oh ok, you like what you do?" "Love it, just like taking apart an engine and putting it back together again." "I really missed you, I . . ." Fox started, placing his hand over hers. "Oh you must have plenty of women after you." Dana teased, letting her thumb caress his hand. "Yeah plenty of gold digging women, none like you though. I haven't found another like you. Your what I want Dana. Your all I need." He said bringing her hand to his lips. "All I ever wanted. I'm so glad we met again." Dana smiled and smoothed his hair out of his face. "As long as obnoxious paparazzi and reporters don't follow me, I'll be ok with this." "With what?" "This, us, you and me." "A relationship is the appropriate word." "Whatever, were not too far from each other." "It's not like I got a real 9 to 5 job anyway. That's what cellphones and laptops are for." Scully smiled as he kissed her hand again. The waiter brought the check and Fox pulled out his wallet and put down a $100. "You can keep the change." The waiter's eyes brightened. Dang the bill was only $40. A $60 tip! "Yes sir! Thank you sir, do you need anything else sir?" "Actually," Fox said looking at Dana. "Some fresh strawberries and crème and a really good bottle of wine." "Sent to your room?" "Yes. Room 1211." Penthouse, oh yes I hit the jackpot! "Here," Fox said handing the waiter a 50 "Thanks a lot . . ." looking at his name tag, "Jason" "Thank you sir. I'll get right on it." "Come on Dana." Fox said, rising, reaching his hand out for hers. As soon as they walked into his room, they were all over each other. Mouths devouring each other, hands relearning each other, when there was a knock on the door. Fox broke away with a sigh. "Right back" he said, wiping lipstick off his face as he opened the door. "Hello sir, where would you like these?" Jason said cheerfully. "On the table over there thank you." "Would you like room service in the morning for breakfast sir?" "Um yes thank you." "I'll schedule it with your wake up call sir, good night." "Night Jason thank you." Fox closed the door behind him "Now where were we?" Fox pinned her to the headboard and thrust into her hard and fast. God, it had been too long since he'd made love to a woman. Ten years actually, no one but her for 10 years. I never want to stop, he thought as he kissed and nipped at her neck. She moaned softly as she placed kisses in his hair and on his face. "Harder." She whispered and he looked at her amused "What?" "Harder." "Okay." He grunted as he held on to the headboard, pumping into her harder. Jason, came to the door. His wake up call is in 5 minutes, I'll just bring his usual breakfast and wake him up personally. $110 in one night, I owe him a little personal service, he thought as he unlocked the door and walked in. At first he thought the playboy channel was on, handsome guy like that? Nah, unless . . . Jason thought with a smile as he laid his breakfast on the table and went to his bedroom to wake him. "Mr. Mulder?" Jason said, turning crimson when he saw Fox pumping into Dana hard and fast. "Oh, oh god oh Dana I love you." He groaned loudly as he came hard, collapsing on his back breathless. Wow, that looked like it felt good, Jason thought as he closed the door quickly. He waited a few minutes and knocked on the door. Fox appeared a few minutes later, still breathing a little hard. "Jason hey, what's up?" "Um I brought your breakfast and was going to wake you up personally." "Thank you but could you bring up another one too, um same as mine?" "Yes sir." "Thanks buddy." He said closing the door quickly. "What he want?" "To wake me, tell me my breakfast was here. Come here." He said taking her into his arms. "Dana I want you to come with me to New York for a few days." "I wish I could, I have to get back. I got 2 heart transplants and I'm working the weekend." "I need your address, phone number, I don't want to ever lose contact with you again." "You won't." Dana said into the intercom on her desk. "Go right in sir." Her secretary Beth said, opening Dana's door for him. "Hey Sunshine." Dana's head snapped up. "Fox hey, what are you dong here?" "Coming to see the most beautiful woman in the world." He said throwing her his most love struck look, while handing her a bouquet of roses. Beth gave her a thumbs up as she closed the door. Oh great, everyone in the surrounding counties will know about this is an hour, Dana thought. Beth was a good secretary, but she was an even better gossiper. "Fox, I . . . I'm really busy right now." "That's fine." He said sitting in a chair across from her desk and watching her a moment. She looked at him curiously. "What are you doing?" "Taking up old pastimes. I missed seeing you everyday. I was so miserable when you left, like a part of me was ripped out." "Fox . . ." "You free for lunch?" "No, I'm working through lunch. I was leaving early." "Even better." "I was leaving early to come down and see you." "I just beat you to the punch, huh?" "Fox . . ." "You haven't had many of your beaus drop by to visit you at work?" Where did that question come from? She thought, if I didn't know any better I think he sounded a little jealous. She smiled secretly to herself as she responded "Well I have, but none of them were dressed in obviously tailor made clothes and 700 dollar shoes." "600, I got them on sale." Dana laughed "Come with me now." Fox insisted, leaning towards her more. "I have 3 more charts, you can wait." He smiled and placed a long rectangular box in front of her. She looked at it quizzically and opened it to reveal a diamond and sapphire bracelet. "Fox! Oh wow this is beautiful, thank you. This is too much." "Nothing is too much for you. You deserve the best money can buy and I plan to give it to you." Dana blushed, smiling at him "Put it on for me." He did, quickly stealing a kiss on the lips. "Ok you can stay, but don't distract me too much." "Ok." His cellphone rang and he answered it quickly. "Mulder. See, I told you they were starting a buying rush. Look, see if you can get me some Roche, Dow, and Pfizer stock, just 100 shares, see what they do. Later." He said hanging up, finding amused blue eyes on him "How much do you have in the stock market?" "Just a little. Stock markets are too unstable. Property, CDs, bonds, and foreign banks are the way to go." Dana smiled and started on another chart, when Beth came in with more charts Dana's house "Nice place." Fox said looking around her house. "Yeah right, this place is probably the size of one of your bathrooms." "Well . . ." Fox said, smiling at her when she turned staring at him in amazement. "Don't play with me Fox. I don't need a big place, just me and Kaja." "Kaja?" "My baby. Kaja!" She called, as a large German shepherd came running from the kitchen. She eyed Fox suspiciously, then wagged her tail. "Kaja, this Fox Mulder my . . ." Fox smiled down at her. "Your what?" "Yeah, what are you?" "Boyfriend? Lover?" "Lover, I like that. Significant other is more P.C. though. Kaja this is your Daddy." Fox beamed with pride "Hey Kaja." The dog jumped up and licked him "Kaja get down. Come on, I need to pack." "We aren't going to stay in town for a few days then go to New York?" "You have all the time in the world. However we with 'real' jobs have only four days." "Man, I never want a 'real' job." Dana laughed and headed upstairs. 5 p.m. "Danes! Hey Danes!, Hey Kaja your mom upstairs?" Her best friend Nick said running up the stairs "Hey Danes, you gotta tell me. Beth said . . oh!" Nick said when she saw them on the floor making love. Nick closed the door and walked back down the stairs blushing "Who IS that guy Kaja?" 30 minutes later "Fox Stop! I'll never finished packing." "I love you." "When we get to your place, go walk Kaja or something." Fox came down stairs, in only his pants, ruffling his hair as he grabbed Kaja's leash. "Kaja come here honey." "Stop sweet talking my dog!" Dana yelled from upstairs. "She's going to love New York, I'll take her to Central Park. Where's her stuff?" "Third cabinet to the right." "No, your other right." Nick said, Fox jumped "Jeez, hello, you scared me to death. How are you?" he said nonchalantly turning to Nick. "Fine, WHO are you?" "Fox William Mulder. Who are you?" "Nickole Buchanan, people call me Nick. I'm Dana's best friend" She said as she appraised the man before her, handsome bastard. "So, who are you to Dana?" "Her . . . lets see how she put it. Lover, significant other in P.C. terms" "That sounds like her. I've never seen you before, are you new in town?" "Maybe, actually I live in New York." "I assumed as much, you definitely have a New York accent. How long have you two . . ." "Awhile." "Oh, she's been holding out on me." Fox laughed "I better go walk the dog before I get her into anymore trouble. Nice meeting you Nick." Nick watched him walk out the door, admiring the view, then ran up to talk with Dana. "Danes! How dare you not tell me you had a good-looking thing like that hanging around?! Jeez, I wouldn't have tried to hook you and Austin up!" "Hey Nick. How long have you been here?" Dana said closing up her last suitcase. "Long enough to know he has a great butt in and out of pants." Dana blushed "He looks like he has money." "He does. He's a billionaire, just sits on Wall street all day and watches his money make more money." "Wow how long have you been holding out on me girl?!" "Long story, but I met him one summer back when I was like 15. First love, first kiss, first everything. I told him we'd meet again and when we did, we could pick up then. When I went to that finance conference, guess who was the main speaker." "I gotcha, so cool." "Yeah I'm going up to New York with him this week. I'll be back Saturday, I'm doing the evening shift at the hospital." "See you then, email me like crazy!" New York "Like it?" "Yes, Oh wow, I love your bathroom!" Fox burst out laughing. "What? I do!" The moonlight shined through the stained glass windows, illuminating the freestanding, high back, claw-footed porcelain tub. "You have a Jacuzzi too?! What do you think of daddies place Kaja baby?" Dana asked as she and Kaja flitted around the loft. "Make yourself at home. I need to check on a few things." Dana unpacked and got comfortable. Thirty minutes later she went into Fox's office looking for him. He was hunched over his desk, chewing his bottom lip slightly. She massaged his shoulders lightly, kissing him on the neck. "Hey baby." He growled, kissing her hands, "I'm almost finished." "What's that?" she asked, pointing to something on the computer screen. "Those are my holdings that I have in stable foreign banks." "How much ARE you worth Mulder?" "All put together? About 4 billion dollars." "How?" "Well my father . . my father passed away." "I'm sorry." "We weren't close, but he left me his entire estate and holdings, which was worth about 10 million dollars. I sold and invested some of the property and the assets, made some great investments and started from there." "Sounds stressful." "It was when I first started. I never knew much about this kind of stuff, I mean I was going to Oxford for a doctorate in psychology, not finance." "Psychology?" "Yeah I wanted to either teach abnormal psychology or be a behavioral profiler for the FBI. This opportunity just presented itself out of the blue, but the more I learned about my options, the more I liked it. And now that my future is stable, I don't really have much to worry about." "Stable?" "I have most of my holdings in stable foreign banks, other stable commodities and property. The stuff I have in the stock market is for fun." Dana smiled. Boy he's changed a lot since I first met him. From the unsure, gifted lanky boy to a confident, brilliant handsome man. He probably has women beating down the door! "Definitely not lonely." "Actually, I was very lonely. Any one I let near me wanted me for my money. I wanted some one who would have me for me, not cause of what I could get them or the prestige. That's why I've kind of stayed out of the limelight." "So what are you now? Retired?" Dana teased "And enjoying my retirement as much as solitary man can." "Don't know that I will but until I can find me." Dana sang softly to him. He pulled her into his lap "A girl who will stay and won't play games behind me, I'll be want I am a solitary man." Fox sang back. "Not anymore." She said, claiming his lips with hers. Next day "He's not answering his cell or his pager, something's wrong." His assistant Shane Kelly said as he got into the car. "Maybe he's out for a jog." His other assistant Mais Cooper said, starting the car. "With out his cell phone? Never! Something's wrong." "Well, use the intercom, he's probably asleep." Shane switched to the intercom on the car phone, placed it on speakerphone and dialed Fox's number. A loud groan came through the phone. They both looked at each other, then the phone again. A loud slap, and a groan came through again, followed by scooting furniture. "He's rearranging his place?" Shane asked Mais then said into the phone. "Mulder? Mulder come in this is Shane." "Oh God!" "Well you've been avoiding us all day what's up? You expected us not to call you at home?" "MMMM YES!" "Um Shane, I . . ." Mais started, as she realized what was going on. "No he can't just ditch us like this Mais. Mulder, Pfizer shares went through the roof this morning. We need to know what to do next?" "More!" "Buy more?" Mais turned crimson "God Shane! Has it been that long that you don't know what's going on?" "What? What's going on?" "Harder, Oh god I love you Dana, god I love you!" came loudly through the phone and Shane paled "Oh god he's having sex!" "Duh! Hang up you moron." Shane hung up quickly, and turned beet red as Mais turned down Fox's street. "Think they're finished?" Shane asked as he got ready to knock. "Only one way to find out." Mais said knocking loudly. A few minutes later, Fox appeared in only a pair of black satin pajama bottoms "Hey you two what's up?" "What's up? Pfizer! We've been trying to get in contact with you all day." Shane said rushing into the apartment. "Really?" "Yes!" "I was busy sorry. So how far up is Pfizer?" "1000 points from yesterday. Mais thinks we should hold back, but I think you should buy more." Shane pulled out stock ledgers and other things trying to prove his point. Fox's eyes caught Dana emerging from the bedroom and smiled. He motioned for her to come to him and she came slowly. Mais noticed he was distracted and looked at what distracted him. A petite red head with glowing sapphire eyes came over to him and he pulled her into a passionate kiss. She had worked for him for 3 years and had never once seen him with a woman, or a man for that matter. His hand wandered to the red head's shapely waist as he pulled away from her lips, his fingers caressing her side, along her thigh. "Hey baby, this will only take a few minutes, I've made reservations for us at Stone Parlor for dinner. Look in the closet, I have something I want you to wear tonight in there." "What?" "You'll see it, the white bag." He pulled her to his lips and kissed her again before letting her go, watching her leave with a smile. He turned back to Mais and Shane, who was still explaining his theory oblivious. He locked eyes with Mais, blushing slightly when she smiled at him knowingly. "So what do you think Boss? Buy more?" Shane asked "No, give them 10 days, if there still up then buy 100 more shares." "Just 100?" "I'm not going to get greedy." Shane sighed and packed up his charts. "Your new to my team Shane, but you got to remember Rule #1, I already have more money than I'll ever need tied up in stable commodities. Rule # 2, Never ever make your life stressful. Rule #3, You make your life stressful by investing too much money in stocks." "Yes sir. Mulder?" "Yeah?" "Who is she? Your girlfriend I mean." "Rule #4, never ever get into my personal life." Shane sighed "Well at least not till you've been on board for at least two years." Fox smiled at Mais "Is that all?" "Yeah, you coming to the market this week?" "No, I'm on vacation. Bye you two." "Vacation?!" Shane said to Mais as they walked out of the door. "You see how he dodged that question about his girlfriend?" "He's a press avoiding wizard, Shane. Come on, market's open for 2 more hours." "Fox it's gorgeous." Dana said looking at herself in Fox's surprise, a beautiful flowing red dress. "You like it? It fits you perfectly, I love it. Now for the finishing touch." He said draping a diamond necklace around her neck. "Oh Fox this is . . ." "Perfect, I love you Dana." "I love you too Fox. Do you have to return this? You know like at movie premieres and awards shows, I can wear it for a night, but I have to give it back?" "What the necklace? No, that's all yours." He kissed her gently on the lips when she turned to face him. She smoothed his tux, caressing the expensive material. "Are all your clothes tailor made?" "Yep, the only way to get a flawless fit. I'm taking you to my tailor tomorrow so he can make you some. You'll see what I mean, once you get a tailor made suit, you never go back." Dana laughed as they headed out the door. Stone parlor "Seating for Mulder." "Ah yes Mr. Mulder, and madam hello. Right this way sir." The maitre'd leaned in and whispered to Mulder, "Do you need anything special for the lady?" "Well she loves Mozart." Fox whispered back, motioning with his eyes towards the violin player. "Yes sir, I'll have him come over." The maitre'd said, pulling out Dana's chair for her "Your waiter will be with you shortly. A wine to start?" "A dry wine." "Yes sir." "Everyone treats you with such respect." Dana said in awe when the maitre'd left. "Yeah one of the hardest things for me to get used to." Across the room, a man watched there entrance with interest. "Was that Fox Mulder who just came in with that stunning red head?" He asked the maitre'd as he walked by "Yes sir Mr. Davis." "Well Fox Mulder finally comes out of the shadows to reveal his weakness." "What are you thinking Van?" his companion said "Mark, for years I've been trying to find something on Fox Mulder. He' s the most reclusive, press avoiding Billionaire I've ever seen. I mean no one knows he exists!" "So? What's the big deal?" "He's just so young, doesn't that make you wonder? I mean right out of college, and not for finance mind you, psychology of all things. Right out of college, takes Wall Street by storm, amasses Billions in a short time and then vanishes. Only to reappear a few years later with a stunning beauty at his side." "And?" "Well lets have some fun with him. I need something to boost my column sales." "I don't know Van." "Trust me." Van said, smiling when he saw Mulder kiss Dana's hand gently. Next morning "I like how you look red." Fox said as he and his tailor Peter matched colors against Dana. "As long as you don't put me in pink or bright orange I'm fine." Dana said feeling the material "This is silk Fox" "Yeah best for suits, feels great, nice and flowing." She was about to protest but stopped. It's not like he CAN'T afford it. It's not like I CAN'T afford dry cleaning. "Shoes, you need shoes." "Where do you get yours?" "Down the street" She smiled at him as she looked at him reflected back at her from the mirror. Even his shorts look tailor made, his shirt definitely is. Dark blue, clinging to him in all the right places, the color making his liquid hazel eyes look a dark gray today. His sandals look like Italian leather, his hands are always so soft, and well manicured. The best of everything for him. What about me? Am I good enough for him? "You are so beautiful Dana. I love everything about you." He whispered in her ear as he came up behind her, kissing her neck lovingly. 'You deserve the best money can buy, and I plan to give it to you' I guess I am, she thought as she smiled back at him "These are perfect Peter, can you have them done by Friday?" "Not all of them sir." "Well just let me know, put it on my usual tab." "Yes Mr. Mulder. Nice working with you Dr. Scully." Outside Fox pulled Dana into a passionate embrace, before heading towards the shoe store. "Safe bet she's not his sister." Van muttered to himself as he followed them at a safe distance. 4 p.m. "The pound? What are they doing here?" Van thought as he followed them inside. He called Mark quickly. "Do you have his loft wired for sound and visuals?" "Yep, you know for a billionaire he didn't have much of a security system." "Great, get ready for tonight." Van hung up and lingered behind them. "Dana?" "You'll see, I came up with Kaja to check them out. I didn't want you lonely when I'm not in town. Right there, what do you think?" "It's a pitbull Dana." He said flatly "A Grey and White American pit bull terrier" Dana corrected, "She's the sweetest, go ahead." Fox bent down and locked eyes with the dog. Hazel eyes met Hazel eyes and he smiled when the dog wagged her tail. "Ok." "Great, we'll take this one." Dana said to the attendant. "She better not have fleas." Loft "Come on into the tub. What are you going to name her?" "I don't know yet." Fox said picking up the big dog and placing her in the tub. He lathered her up with flea soap and cringed when he saw the fleas dropping off of her in the hundreds. "Jeez! Fleabag!" "No, something cute." Dana said, rubbing his back lightly as he scrubbed at the dog. "Grey." "I said cute." "Well I don't know, Precious?" Fox asked rinsing her off and getting ready to lift her out of the tub, when she jumped out, knocking him down, standing on his chest and shaking off, drenching him before running off. "Nakila!" "Huh?" "Nakila, Swahili for Mischief maker." Dana laughed and started to dry off his face when he took the towel from her, placing it behind her head as he captured her lips with his. His tongue invaded her mouth, tasting as much of her as possible as his hands traced trails of seduction on her body. He moved to kiss her neck, groaning slightly when her leg brushed past his already hard erection. She ruffled his hair encouraging him to continue his seduction. He paused his kisses to take off his shirt, she did the same. He smiled when he saw she was bra-less and he caressed her breasts, taking a nipple into his mouth, teasing it with his tongue. "I love you, I love you." She murmured into his hair as he started to rub against her. They undid each other's pants slowly, kicking them off. Fox ravaged her mouth as he eased her panties off her. He kissed his way down her body and teased her throbbing sex by blowing on it gently, while teasing her thighs with his fingertips. "Fox, what . . ." "Shh I have to know how you taste." He said as his head disappeared between her legs. His tongue pushed between her folds as she jumped. Oh god that's good. She thought as his tongue explored her inner most parts as his teeth found her throbbing clit and grabbed hold. Dana let loose a guttural moan. He sucked it briefly, then started teasing her with his tongue till she was gripping his hair by the handfuls pushing him in more. He inserted a finger tentatively and quickly drove her over the edge as she cried out to a forgotten god as she came hard. He pulled away and captured her lips again. She tasted herself in his mouth and gripped his firm butt in her hands, guiding him where he wanted to be. "You taste so good. I love the way you taste." He said, raping her mouth with his tongue as he entered her quickly. He thrust into her slowly "Are you comfortable?" he asked as she squirmed slightly under him. She shook her head no and he sat up pulling her to him, she wrapped her legs around his waist and held onto him tightly as he started pumping into her faster, and harder. He groaned loudly and placed a steadying hand on the bathroom door supporting himself as he stood up. They found release quickly and Fox stood her up gently, then collapsed in a heap at her feet. Dana laughed hard. "Get up you." She teased "I don't think I'll be able to move for a week." "You'll move if you want dinner tonight." "Dinner?" Fox said standing quickly, putting on his boxers and placing his arms around her, hugging her tightly as she turned in his arms. She tried to move towards the kitchen, but he stopped suddenly, unbuttoned his boxers and entered her quickly from behind. "Fox!" he grunted in response and Dana laughed as he sank to his knees. He rutted into her fast and hard, sucking on her neck, his hands seducing her, clutching at her hair till he came long and hard. "Oh man!" He said breathlessly as he pulled out and hugged her to him, raining soft kisses as her neck, shoulders and cheeks. "I hope you got all that Mark." Van said, breathless, embarrassingly aroused. "Oh yeah, I got that, Man!" "Oh wait, what's happening now?" Van said watching as Dana dressed quickly and went out on the balcony. Fox rebuttoned his boxers and followed. "What's wrong?" He asked her softly "Nothing, I wish I had given you my address when I left that summer." "Why?" "You haven't been with anyone since then, have you?" He blushed slightly, kissing her neck gently. "No I haven't. I didn't want anyone other than you." "How did you know?" "I just did." "Was I your first?" "No, but you're my last. I'm never going to give you up." He nuzzled her neck gently, wrapping his arms around her tightly. "Come on, I'm hungry." "Again?" Dana asked amused "For food. I'm starved." They walked back inside and Van smiled smugly "I got you now Fox Mulder." Summer Love: Complicated by Mulderslady Part 4 of 5 DISCLAIMER: They don't belong to me, wish they did. "How long have you been seeing Fox Mulder?" "Is it serious?" "Has he proposed?" "What? I'm sorry, I have to go to work." Dana said pushing through the barrage of people. "You still have to work?" "What do you do?" She made her way down to her office, locking confused eyes with Beth. "Don't tell them anything and get Fox on the phone for me now." Beth nodded and started dialing. "Dana, it's a nightmare out there, what's going on?" Greg asked "My boyfriend is a billionaire. A supposed reclusive billionaire." "Well, he's public now." "Yeah I know. OR 5 ready?" "And waiting Doc." "I'll be in, in 5 minutes." Same time New York "Shane Kelly." "What the Fuck is this SHIT?!!" "Morning Boss, you read the newspaper I see." "Who wrote this? What are they trying to do?" "Mulder, Mais here. The devil himself wrote the article. Van Davis, gossip columnist. Really boosted sales of the Times, stocks up by 30%" "Really? Buy 100 shares, might as well get something out of this." Mais laughed and Shane called it in. "Your affairs clear right?" Mais asked in a serious tone. "Affair? I'm not having an affair." "Well, whatever you have with this Dana?" "Yeah Dana. Yes it's clear, whatever that means." "If we knew more about her and your relationship, Shane and me could do some damage control . . ." "Damage control? For what? I'm not worried about that. I don't want my personal life on the front page of the friggin' New York times! And I don't want to have Dana's life disrupted by reporters and cameras! Now fix it!" Fox hung up the phone hard. "I don't think the boss was happy." Shane said clicking off the car phone. "I'll say, well lets see what we can do." Fox picked up the phone quickly as it rang again. "Mulder." He said sharply "Fox?" "Yes, who is this?" "Dana Scully's assistant Beth." "Oh hey." He said, his voice softening. "She wanted to talk with you hold on." Then turning to Dana, "I got him." "Thanks Beth. Fox, there are swarms of reporters circling my office. Can you tell me what's going on?" "I don't know yet, but I got my people on it. Tell them what ever you want. I'm going to come up this afternoon once I figure out what's going on." "Ok love you." "Love you too. Nakila misses you terribly." "What about you?" "I'm miserable without you." "Good, see you later." Dana handed the phone back to Beth. "Thanks Beth and remember . . ." "I got it, my lips are sealed. You better run, looks like there breaking through the door." 5 p.m. "Oh here he comes, here he comes." The reporters said as they clamored around Fox's Jag. "Mr. Mulder, have you proposed?" "How long have you dated?" the reporters started asking as Fox grabbed the bouquet of roses out of the passenger seat and let Nakila out of the car. The dog growled viciously at the reporters making them back up as they walked into the house. "Did you see that? He walked right in. They must be serious." "Dana?" Mulder said as he closed the door. "Fox! Finally." She said, running to him and hugging him tightly, kissing him soundly on the lips, which was illuminated by thousands of flashes. Fox pulled away and pulled down the shades. "What happened Mr. Solitary Billionaire?" She teased "Van Davis gossip columnist from the Times happened. The Times needed something to boost sales, what better than the youngest and most reclusive billionaire in the world, finding love. Or as Mr. Davis put it, Reclusive Billionaire comes out of the closet." He said, showing her the newspaper. "So? Now what?" "Hopefully this dies down soon or they'll start trying to dig into our pasts for a scoop. No skeletons in the closet I should know about?" "Nope you?" Fox gave her THE LOOK and she laughed. "Dinner?" "I already ate, I made extra. I was thinking we could go to the park with the dogs but . . ." "That sounds good. The reporters can come along, Nakila just hates them." Dana smiled and pulled out another plate and loaded the rest of the dinner she had made on it. She placed it on the table for him, ruffling his hair as he sat down, making him look up at her. She kissed his forehead gently, smiling down at him when they caught a flash out of the corner of their eyes. They turned to see a young photographer give them a sympathetic shrug. Fox smiled and reached up, pulling Dana into another kiss. The photographer snapped the picture and gave them a thumbs up as he left. "He seems like a nice guy." Dana said, sitting next to him "Yeah, he's definitely got an eye for pictures." Fox and Dana ran through the park hand in hand, the dogs following closely behind, trying to grab the Frisbee from Fox's hand. Fox stopped suddenly and threw it, the dogs ran after it quickly. "Alone at last." "Figuratively speaking" Dana said as the photographers snapped pictures. Fox ignored them and kissed her long and deep. He broke from her lips with a sigh and sat on the grass, throwing the Frisbee again when the dogs came back with it. Dana snuggled into his shoulder and he placed his arm around her, nuzzling her hair with his nose. They talked softly as the reporters waited for the two to do or say something. "Kid? Kid, where are you going?" A reporter asked as the young photographer headed up to Fox and Dana. He walked in front of them, getting in a good position to capture the scene. He snapped two shots quickly and smiled hopefully when they looked at him. "Come here." Fox said, waving him closer. "Yes sir?" the boy asked nervously "What's your name?" "Dan, Daniel Evans." "How long you been a photographer?" "Two years." "Freelance?" "Yes sir. I was hoping I could sell some of my pictures to a big newspaper." "OH really?" "Yes sir, this could be my big break. I'm sorry for the invasion of privacy, but some of the images you two create . . . they're truly amazing. You're a very photogenic couple." "Thank you Dan." "If you don't mind, could I get a few more pictures of you two, maybe a couple with the dogs?" "Sure." Fox said, looking at Dana for approval. "Nakila, Kaja come." Dana called to the dogs as they ran to them. The dogs bowled them over, and Fox laughed as Nakila stood on his chest and licked his face. Dan snapped away and smiled "Thanks." He said, reaching his hand down for Fox to shake. Fox shook it firmly, pulling him down and whispering into his ear. "You can sell those to whoever you want, but only if I get a copy first." Dan looked at him in wonder and nodded "You got a card on you Dan?" "Yes sir." He said, handing him his card. Fox nodded and put it in his pocket, as Dan walked off in a daze. Dana snuggled back into Fox "What was that about?" "It's always a plus to know a good photographer." 8 weeks later "Van found out the last time they saw each other. Get ready for this, last time they saw each other was when they were 16 and 15 respectively." "You're kidding? And he wasn't with anyone, but her? Ten years? Unbelievable." "Reclusive Billionaire's 10 year celibacy?" Fox said in shock as he read the headline. "I thought this was FIXED?" He said angrily, glaring at Shane and Mais. "It was, I don't know who his source is. Look it would help if we . . ." Mais started "Just fix it!" Fox said rising off the couch and starting to walk over to Dana, who was at the kitchen table. "How can we, if we don't know what we're fixing?!" Mais said frustrated. Fox stopped, turning to her, assuming a defensive posture. "Fine, what do you want to know?" "Is she married?" "Not yet." He said with an amused tone in his voice. "NO double-talk Mulder! Is she or isn't she?" "NO she's not." "Is she engaged? Who's her Fiancée? Are you two engaged?" "Not yet, but when she does have a fiancée it will be me." "Mulder! What are we defending?" "My privacy! I have a right like anyone else to walk into a store, a restaurant with my girlfriend and not have a throng of reporters accosting me with meaningless questions and cameras flashing in my face. I don't like it and more importantly Dana doesn't like it!" "But Mulder, you're a BILLIONAIRE! You didn't expect not to have to deal with the press, did you? You're a public curiosity!" "Why?" "Your 26 and a super billionaire! A handsome, 26 year old billionaire, who no one has ever heard of! And who seemingly has disappeared, only to reappear with a beautiful woman at his side." "Look Mais, I liked my life the way it was, nice private, quiet, simple. But if I need to be thrust into the limelight for the 'public's' curiosity, so be it. Dana shouldn't be thrust into the limelight too. She's a cardiologist from Hartford, Connecticut! Admittedly the best Cardiologist in the country, but she's not a celebrity, and she's not used to this extreme fanfare. She doesn't like it, now fix it." Dana sat at the kitchen table listening silently. His life is getting turned upside down because of me. I should end this right now before we get more serious about each other. I don't belong here with him. I'm a doctor yes, I could be considered well off, but he's a billionaire!! We are from two separate worlds. This wasn't meant to be. She felt his strong hands knead the muscles in her neck and shoulders gently as he came up behind her. "Hey baby, how's my girl?" He growled in her ear as he placed a tender kiss on her neck. "I'm ok. I'm sorry." "For what?" "Ruining your life." "Huh?" "Everything was the way you wanted it. You lived in the shadows and now . . ." "Hey this isn't your fault honey. I couldn't have stayed hidden away forever. You could never ruin my life." "Fox . . ." "You're the only reason I would get up everyday. Every day I was out there was another chance of seeing you again. Now your right here, your everything I've wanted and all I need." He said crouching down at her side, placing a warm hand on her thigh as he looked up at her with pleading hazel eyes. "We are from two separate worlds. Dang it, you're a billionaire on the level of Ted Turner and Bill Gates. I don't belong here. I'm just a heart surgeon, a country fish in a sea of sharks. I don't belong with you." "Yes you do. Is it the money that bothers you? I could liquidate everything and blow it on a bad investment. All it would take is one day, and I could be as poor as dirt, would you feel better?" Mais and Shane looked at each other, secretly praying that's not what she wanted. She nodded no and they sighed a breath of relief. "It wouldn't matter to me one way or the other as long as I had you. You're all I want, and I don't care about anything else in this world if I don't have you by my side. I've loved and needed you for so long. This isn't me, the silk suits, the 700 dollar shoes, loft in New York, houses and property all over the world, that's not me. You know that, and I don't care what anybody says, it will never change how I feel about you. NEVER, you understand Dana?" She nodded and kissed his forehead tenderly, wiping away tears that were clouding her vision. "You alright baby?" Fox asked concerned. "Yeah, I guess I'm just a little insecure." "You shouldn't feel that way, because I love you and I will always love you. Come on, the new Nicolas Cage movie is premiering tonight and I got you the perfect dress. If we get there early enough, maybe I can introduce you." He said, letting his hand slid along her back as they stood up and she headed to their bedroom. Fox turned back to Mais and Shane, saying firmly "You see that? Did you see how upset she was? GET THIS FIXED NOW!" he turned and followed Dana into the bedroom. "Wow, DID you see that?" Shane said reeling at his Boss's forcefulness. "God, that was so . .so . . ." "So what? Shane asked amused "Romantic." "Huh?" "Our boss is seriously in love. I hear the clunk of a velvet box." Shane looked at her confused. "The squeal of joy as she looks at the beautiful ring it holds, the clang of wedding bells, the pitter patter of little feet." "You're getting sappy on me Mais." Shane warned playfully. "Sorry, I've just never seen him express an emotion as deeply as he just did. It was a profoundly eye opening experience that I will carry with me for years to come." "Really sappy. Come on, we better try and fix this before we see another deeply expressed emotion." "What's that?" "Unbridled Rage." "I got something your going to love." "Let me see." "I haven't gotten them developed, can you save room on the paper for them? Tomorrow morning's edition?" "You got 20 minutes, if there not developed, then I can't use them." "20 minutes?! It's going to take at least that long to set up?" "20 minutes Dan." "No matter what they are?" "No matter what, sorry man." Dan sighed, feigning disappointment, smiling secretly as he walked out of the building into Fox's Jag. "What he say? You didn't tell them what they were did you?" Fox asked "Nope. He couldn't use them if I couldn't get them developed in 20 minutes." Fox smiled evilly as he picked up his car phone. "I got him now." He said quietly as he dialed a number. "What do you mean you can't find him Mark?! We go to press in 20 minutes and my friggin' story has skipped town?! And you have nothing to show for it?" "Sorry Van, I thought your article was finished." Van growled in anger. This isn't happening, I'm so close, he thought as he asked. "What about her?" "Gone too." "Hmmm, very interesting. Ok stall them, I'll have something in 15 minutes." Hawaii Fox came up behind Dana and kissed her neck tenderly. "Hey, missed you. Where were you?" Dana asked turning and smiling at him. "Causing trouble." "As usual." "Told you having a good photographer around was a good thing. Who knew he had a way with words too." He said as he handed her a large manila envelope "Finally! These are beautiful, which one's did you let him use for the magazine article?" "These four." Dana nodded with approval. "I just can't wait for Van to stick his foot in his mouth. We really shouldn't derive this much joy out of showing up a nosy reporter Fox." Next morning--New York "Reclusive Billionaire flees press?" Mark said, reading the title of Van's article, then smiling, "What a way to bluff!" "Brilliant huh? We exposed his fling and now he's on the run. It's good enough till we can find out where they really are." "DAVIS! What is this?!" The editor said, storming into Van's office, waving the morning edition in his hand. "What?" Van said, startled at his editor's brash manner. "Where did you get your information?" "Why?" "Cause we are getting sued again!" "For what?" "Libel, and now I see why. What were you doing? Bluffing? I thought you would be the first to know when it happened." "What happened?" Van asked, gasping when the editor threw a copy of Time magazine in his lap. They were on the front cover, the room illuminated by hundreds of white candles, Fox in a dark suit, Dana in a flowing white gown, her fiery hair upswept, a few wispy curls framing her face, smiling up at him as he placed a ring on her finger. "Summer Love Forever?" Van read the title of the article, "By Daniel Evans?!!" "Isn't he YOUR usual photographer? What happened? Why didn't you know about this? You know how many papers we didn't sell today cause of your horrible contacts and reporting??? You know how much money we are going to have to spend to dig ourselves out of this hole?!! We'll never live this down!" The editor said, planting his hands firmly on his hips "And its not just Time. Life magazine has devoted it's whole May issue to the coverage of his proposal in Central Park of all places, and there Hawaiian wedding, even some honeymoon pictures and what do we have? Nothing! God, even the Post has a picture of the proposal!! They never get anything on time! Get your butt out of here and I don't want to ever see you in here again! Your Fired!" Van sat stunned a second, fired? Me? He can't be serious. "Mark! Get me Daniel Evans on the phone. I have a job offer for him, an immediate job offer." Hawaii Dana sat on the beach and watched the waves roll in, smiling wistfully. This is where it all started ten years ago. One night on the beach has changed my whole life forever. She smelled him before she saw him, he was in her favorite pair of cut off jeans, hair tousled by the wind. "Hey." "Hey." She said softly, leaning into him as he sat close to her on the sand. "Whatcha thinking about?" He said, futilely brushing strands of her fiery hair out of her face. "What color yacht I want." Fox chuckled softly "What our first child will look like." Fox kissed her gently on the temple and sighed. He twirled her diamond encrusted platinum wedding ring on her finger. The sapphire and diamond engagement ring sparkling brightly behind it, as he brought her hand to his lips to kiss. "If Nakila and Kaja can live together without breaking the house down." "That's a simple one, no." Dana laughed, cuddling into him more as the sun went down, turning the blue sky into a sea of purples, reds and oranges. "But we have forever to find out."
